This week marked a special occasion in our family as our oldest son Jason and his wife Jacquie bestowed upon us our second grandchild. Jayden Alexander Foley was born on Wednesday October 1st, a bouncing baby brother for 3-year old Julia and a nephew for our youngest son Mike.
To my husband Len and I it’s indeed what life is really all about…..family.
Our children and grandchildren will witness even more of the impending changes to planet Earth than we will. The air we pollute today will be the air they breathe tomorrow. The finite amount of drinkable water on our blue planet will be of an even greater concern than it is now. And the ability to feed ourselves with safe, locally-produced crops will be an issue that they will have to meet head on.
To us Jayden represents more than a beautiful addition to our family. He’s one more reason why we’ll keep fighting the good fight for a clean, healthy planet for him to call home.
